Obesity

Obesity is a growing health concern that requires a multidisciplinary approach. From lifestyle changes to pharmacological therapy 💊 and, in some cases, bariatric surgery, every step plays a role in improving health outcomes. Together with Sia Abou wadi Mohammed Zaiter and Qurratulain Munawar, we aim to raise awareness and promote better management strategies for obesity.

In addition to conventional treatments, some individuals explore complementary therapies for weight management. 🌿 For instance, ephedra was once widely used but is now banned 🚫 due to serious health risks. Similarly, bitter orange, which contains synephrine, has an FDA warning ⚠ but is often combined with coffee ☕ or guarana for its stimulant effects. Other options like green tea🍵, chromium picolinate ,and Garcinia cambogia are also used, though their effectiveness varies. While these therapies might appeal to some, weighing their potential benefits against safety concerns is essential.
